This play is a re-written and expanded version of David Allen's one-act play 'If I Ever Get Back here Again I'll Stay' presented by Troupe at the Tin Shed, Adelaide in April 1977, and directed by Allen. D.H. Lawrence and his German wife spend six months on the New South Wales coast, brawling, squabbling and remembering England - much to the amazement of their conservative neighbours. Winner of the Awgie for best play 1980.

The play had a return season at Playbox, 6-30 November.
